From providing my first breastfeeding support to new mothers in Montreal during my clinical practicum as a McGill student, to training nurses now and adding breastfeeding to Macao's nursing education curriculum, my education at McGill gave me everything I needed to make our society healthier in both a caring and evidence-based way. After all, isn’t compassion and the advancement of knowledge what a top global research-intensive university like McGill is all about?
I’m a strong believer that the generation of knowledge should go hand-in-hand with empathy in the advancement of our society in meaningful ways, and McGill has allowed me to accomplish exactly that.
My McGill education gave me the foundation I needed for my nursing research and for everything that I aspired to accomplish for my community in the future. Nurturing babies is one way, but nurturing aspiring and upcoming nursing professionals in another.
Let’s not forget the number of lives McGill nurses have touched and will continue to touch worldwide. McGill University transcends the seas and it will be remembered in the hearts of its graduates for years to come.
