Ram Panda, McGill’s new Lead Planned Giving Ambassador
Ram Panda, the former Chair of McGill’s Board of Governors, is taking on a brand new challenge: serving as McGill’s Lead Planned Giving Ambassador. Panda said yes to the role “because I feel strongly about legacy giving. There are so many advantages that people aren’t aware of.”
Frank Chubb, the hero behind McGill’s Chemistry lab
You may not know his name, but Dr. Frank Chubb, BSc’35, is almost single-handedly responsible for the state-of-the-art instruments in McGill’s undergraduate Chemistry labs. The equipment is used by over 2,000 students each year, “so the scale of what he’s done is incredible,” says Bruce Lennox, Dean of Science.
A word from the Chancellor
At McGill, John McCall MacBain has played many roles: Students’ Society president, landmark philanthropist, and our current Chancellor. Now he’s joining the ranks of McGill’s legacy donors. “McGill is a great investment: it’s been here for 200 years, and it will continue to be here in the future.”
