Edward Childe, MDCM’56; Retired psychotherapist

In 1952 I transferred from the physical sciences, which I’d found to be dehumanizing, to medicine at McGill where I was introduced to psychiatry and the science of understanding the human psyche.

This led to a 50-year career which enabled us to rescue patients from drugs and hospitalizations, and to publicize the bad science and corruption behind the drug revolution of psychiatry.
