The SEED Initiative at McGill’s School of Continuing Studies is an innovative program that provides members of underserved communities and newcomers to Canada with experiential training and professional development. Made possible by a $2-million community investment from Scotiabank in 2022, the program aims to remove obstacles that stand in the way of gainful employment. Inna Feshchenko, part of the third SEED cohort, came to Canada due to the war in Ukraine, and speaks about how helpful the program has been as she navigates life in a new country and culture.
