My time at McGill spans six decades – as a student, professor, dean and vice-president. I have seen firsthand that young people have often faced, and are now increasingly facing, an uphill battle when it comes to mental health. The pressures of academic life, along with financial stressors and unprecedented global crises, have created a challenging landscape for university students.
I feel strongly that the McGill campus community has a vital role to play in fostering a supportive environment. When faculty and staff choose to promote student wellness through legacy giving, it not only helps sustain essential services – it also sends a strong message to students that their well-being matters. Please make this important gift a part of your legacy to McGill.
