Due to the vast international community at McGill, I was able to make friends from around the world, learn from their different perspectives, and be exposed to different global issues through my classes. I believe McGill's international body is what makes it stand out so much among other institutions. It also fostered my ability to be culturally sensitive and view the world with a wider global lens than I would have had I pursued my studies in the US where I'm from. I also believe my McGill experience is what inspired me to build an international career path in global health.
