I am a global citizen at heart and always wanted to be part of solutions tailored to local and global challenges. A biochemist by training, I worked in clinical research for five years before completing an MBA degree from McGill University. It is then that I discovered a field made for me that I didn't know existed: social impact and equity.
During my time at Desautels, I deepened my expertise in social impact and human-centered design thinking, and the intersectionality of the public, private and social sectors. Career Services knew I wanted to pursue a career in something that mattered. When they suggested Emzingo, a B Corp specializing in leadership development and social impact consulting, I knew it was the right fit.
It is during my internship with Emzingo that I finetuned my skills and embarked on what would become a career in justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI). After working on their Global Engagement and JEDI taskforce, I founded Bindia Savaria Consulting to help organizations start, deepen or establish their JEDI strategies or programs. I am also an experienced facilitator and the Co-chair of the B Local Québec chapter, with a focus on collective impact and activism.
