McGill was my first real experience of independence, and it is where I found my voice. I had always lived in the Middle East, so protected. The culture, the exposure, the faculty, and the flexibility at McGill helped me become who I am.
I worked in the Chemistry Lab as my first job. I met my friends who became family in McIntyre. I cried. I lived in the library. I lived off $2 poutine in the Engineering Building. McGill was home.
It made me stronger and more independent. I found my voice there and for that I am forever thankful!
