The next decade of gratitude begins with you

‘I’m not the same person as I was when I started giving back.’

Chafik Hamad

I set up a bursary in my mother’s memory to help students who face systemic barriers to post-secondary education, including refugees, women and displaced people.

For me, giving back is about sharing time, financial and non-financial resources, and kindness to make a positive impact, as a way of showing gratitude for what I’ve received in my own life.

I’ve deepened my understanding of others’ challenges. I’m not the same person as I was when I started giving back.
