I am proud to serve as a McGill24 ambassador this year so I can continue advocating for important causes.
As co-president of the student group Promoting Opportunities for Women in Engineering (POWE), I led a crowdfunding campaign during a previous McGill24 to secure funds to continue our activities in person, since costs increased so much post-COVID.
I also spearheaded the Class of 2024 Senior Class Gift to fundraise for a scholarship for women in engineering. This initiative aimed to alleviate the high costs of participating in competitions.
My contributions have helped break financial barriers for women in engineering, fostering their personal and professional growth. I’ve supported initiatives like sending students to conferences, organizing networking opportunities, and facilitating community activities. These efforts empower women in engineering to succeed!
I am proud to be a McGillian because of the University’s commitment to excellence and innovation. The strong sense of community and the lifelong connections I’ve made are invaluable.
Being part of an institution that is core to the Montreal landscape is incredibly rewarding. I am part of a community that fosters innovation, values excellence, and makes a positive difference in the world.
Giving back helps ensure that future generations have access to the same and better opportunities and resources that I benefited from.
Knowing the positive impact my contributions have on students inspires me to continue giving. The support I received from alumni as a student was invaluable, and I want to give back.
