The McGill Emergency COVID-19 Research Fund
Give nowIn the fight against COVID-19, we need solutions. McGill’s extensive network of researchers can provide them.
The McGill research community is playing a leading role in the race to end the COVID-19 pandemic. Our experts are already working with partners around the world to combat the spread of the coronavirus and help treat sufferers.
McGill is well-positioned to advance discovery on many fronts. The McGill Interdisciplinary Initiative in Infection and Immunity (MI4) brings together a network of more than 250 researchers from across McGill faculties, the MUHC and its teaching hospitals who are focused on infectious and immune-mediated diseases.
MI4 is mobilizing efforts across our campuses to combat COVID-19, from work that’s already being done on clinical trials, to creating new diagnostic tools, to tackling the human costs of the disease. Researchers are exploring testing that could get healthcare workers out of isolation sooner. Others are working to increase our capacity to test for COVID-19 or develop drug therapies for patients.
MI4 has received over 50 proposals for projects that have extraordinary potential. Your generosity in giving to the McGill Emergency COVID-19 Research Fund will make it possible to fund urgent research that seeks to understand and treat COVID-19 right now.
The world needs solutions. The McGill research community is ready to deliver. All we need is your support.
