Originally from Los Angeles, I drove across the country and across the border to study urban design at McGill's School of Architecture because of the mixture of cultural diversity and the dynamic environment in which to study city life.
During my time at McGill, I served as the Environment Commissioner for the Post-Graduate Students’ Society, and as a teaching assistant and research assistant for various McGill professors.
After graduation, I worked on the CHUM (Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal) super-hospital project with a local Montreal firm. I also worked abroad in Shanghai with various architecture firms and met Peter Fu, who is a major sponsor and advocate for McGill's School of Architecture (now named the Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture). I volunteered with other fellow alumni including Alvin Chung who is our Asia alumni representative, and I continue to volunteer as the alumni lead for the Los Angeles chapter of the McGill Alumni Association.
McGill's alumni network and my experience in Montreal offered me the chance to compare my insights and opinions with the best professionals inside and outside of my industry, which contributes to the betterment of society.
I currently work in a local engineering/architecture/construction firm in southern California. I utilize the experience I gained during my time at McGill to serve my profession as a leader within my firm, and as a mentor and friend to fellow alumni within my city.
