My father, Richard Leitham, B'Eng55, was made by McGill. That is how it all began. I remember, at a very young age, my father bringing me to the McGill Winter Carnival. We would walk around campus and look at beautiful ice sculptures in front of buildings. We would stand in front of his faculty and he would tell stories of his many memories of being a student at McGill.
When I started elementary school, I discovered very quickly that gym was my favorite subject. I said to my mother "l want to grow up and be a gym teacher". I never gave up on my dream. When the day arrived to apply to universities, there was no other choice for me other than McGill. I was destined to become a physical education teacher, made by McGill.
