Where to start?
First, I'll introduce myself. My name is Zohar Colman, I'm going on my third year in Physical and Health Education at McGill and I absolutely love it! ??Additionally, I'm the head coach for the Sun Youth Atom level football team, embarking on my fourth year with that position and my fifth year as a coach. The journey has been invigorating and life-changing with multiple climaxes! ?
So far, in Phys Ed at McGill, we've explored the art of managing a class, knowing and teaching the subject, and motivating students. McGill didn’t make me who I am, but it has helped me develop by guiding me, much like a dictionary guides a student when writing. The content I've learned was and still is easily transferable to coaching. Additionally, the program has kept me on top of my game as well as helped me strive for new techniques/challenges in order to better myself and my teaching/coaching quality!
I've also been to football clinics, and coach training programs such as Pour3Points, which teaches coaches the ways of humanistic coaching. It’s all about connection, character, confidence and competence!
I've seen multiple players engage and progress as they grew older throughout the Sun Youth football program! I'm blessed. ?
And it's a gift to be able to share my blessings, knowledge and passion for sports with the youth!
Keep it ?!
