My parents immigrated to Montreal and, within months of their arrival, my father was in graduate school at McGill. McGill was not only a way to better their lives in Quebec, it also became one of their first networks in Montreal.
McGill opened my world, as it did for my father decades ago.”
When I graduated CEGEP and applied to law school, there was really only one place I wanted to attend. McGill opened my world, as it did for my father decades ago. I learned critical thinking, writing skills and risk taking; all tools that I used first as a lawyer and then in a second career in broadcasting.
And speaking of community and family, McGill is all that to me as well. It is where I studied with my husband; it is where my sister met her husband and it is where my youngest son just graduated. McGill is an intricate part of my family.
