Made by fishing for guidance

When I was an undergraduate student, there was a time when I couldn’t find myself – what I should be doing – and was ready to quit. One professor, Florence Farmer, took me under her wing, encouraged me to stick it out, and was my senior research project advisor. I worked on developing nutritionally fortified fishery products for sub-Saharan Africa. My graduate studies continued in this area. In most recent years, I have coached McGill food science students to develop food solutions for developing countries.
