I would not have been as keen to keep studying history without Professors Hoffman, Boss and Meadwell. They pushed me to do my MA at McGill, and then move on to a PhD at Cambridge. I probably would never have learned to row if not for the McGill University Rowing Club and national team coaches like Karol Sauvé and the support of mentors with whom I rowed.
