I had a wonderful 35-year career in government relations, international cooperation and exchange programs at McGill where I was able to learn and grow through the various challenges the University entrusted to me.

In retirement, I missed being an integral part of the McGill community. When a McGill retiree association was proposed in 2014, I jumped at the opportunity to be engaged in the establishment of this association to ensure that retirees have the opportunity to take their rightful place within the McGill community as contributors to the overall success of the institution over the years.

The McGill University Retiree Association – Association des retraité(e)s de l’Université McGill (MURA-ARUM) was founded in 2015 and currently has over 400 members that include retirees from all employment sections of the University. Thanks to the support of the University administration and the employees’ associations and unions, retirees are welcome on campus and recognized as highly valued members of the greater McGill community.
